The news of the merger was released today. While everyone knew for a long time that Bangu was in the big announcement was that Wings SC will also be joining. This will now give the Thunder a strong foot hold in almost all geographical areas of the twin cities.
Is this good news for elite development in Minnesota? Will anything change under the new banner? What are your thoughts?

It is official. Bangu and Wings have combined with the Thunder. Read about it here.
The Thunder are currently in in 3rd place with a record of 4-2-1 and they have 2 games in hand on the first place team. Can they continue to get good results? What are your feelings on the move back to Blaine?
The Lightning start their season today and they are looking to repeat as Midwest Division Winners. They play their home games at Elizabeth Lyle Robbie Stadium on the campus of the University of Minnesota.

State Cup Seeding
Sunday, May 4, 2008 at 12:46AM In order to win State Cup you need to win all your games, but most people want to see the top teams in the final. Cal North does not see it this way as they consistently place the top teams in the same group during round robin play. Story Although the story is satirical, it brings up a good point: How far should they seed State Cup? Also, at what age should they start the seedings?

The draws are out. Will the defending Champions repeat or will we have a crazy spring like the FA Cup this year? Which groups will be the most competitive and which games will be the most exciting?
